Inlay design and Cut Leather / Leather engraving

After the leather for the book cover is cut and pared, the decorating design of the cover with dyed/colored leather is pared to paper-thinness and cut to various shapes before it is glued on the cover.

The book cover can also be designed with undyed leather pasted on sanded wooden boards. The leather is cut, engraved and embossed with special tools, particularly imported from Belgium, for the final requested design. When the design is ready, the leather is dyed in a wide range of colors to give the book an antique look with the final touch of antique leather stain.
